    Hello .
I want to construct a spark plug, but I do not know how to bond te central wire to body .
what is the suitable material for body? Teflon? . Sorry for the poor explications, but is dificcult for me write in english but I can read it good.

Per fare le candele non รจ facile, isolamento di teflon non regge la temperatura, serve la ceramica,
per accopiare bisogna rullare il bordo superiore, leletrodo vuole di tucsteno.

Antonio, a lot of us use and have used Teflon for making spark plugs. I have a high rpm four cylinder engine that I have used Teflon plugs in and it has many hours of running on it. There are machinable ceramics but the cost is quite high. The central wire does not need to be bonded to the Teflon it just required a tight fit. I have drawing that I could send you in PDF format. Just email me at: and I will send it to you.

spark plugs can be fun or a mess i know first what size would you like to make the plug next the thread size and george is rite the material is called macor for 1foot of 3/16 is 70 bucks or you can get it 3 inches for21 bucks i have machined this and is easy to machine but your tools must be sharpe and have a dust mask near by teflon is ok or glass pipe and the center electorde can be wire or i use 3/32 tungstion rod i gave david a idea in the past for a testing plug but try that oh and the tighter the seal the better ....jay oh yes i just got some of paul knapps spark plugs the thread is 10-40 but wow the work great mine were 22 bucks each but wow for now i just have 2 but i need to buy 8 more but they last and are very good i think are the best and i beat on my engines
If you can get your hands on some, try corian counter top material for an insulator. It can be a bit fragile but machines well and holds up very well.
