Hello all Did anyone ever design a model engine using solenoids for valves? Are they reliable? By that I mean it has to be fast acting and probably some kind of microcontroller to manage the timing of the valves. I’m thinking to use solenoids for the next design and like to get some ideas on the reliability ?
Search for David Bowes and his EVIC engines. He has been working on electronic valves controlled by a microprocessor for about 10 years and has some impressive engines. He goes to shows, has plans, and is great resource. David Kerzel
