Looks like a cool project David. Do you intend to do some casting or will it be a bar stock project?

Steve, The plan is to make most of it from bits of brass hard soldered together. Some 2.5 inch OD brass tube will be the basis for the crankcase. There is a lot of room in the crankcase for the crank to be the flywheel. A cast iron liner for the cylinder. I have some sketches of the crankcase and cylinder started. One thing I want to have is advance/retard on the ignition timing, it looks possible.
I found a little information about the engines on line that helps add dimensions to the photos. If I get time I will be looking for someone who has a service manual or more facts.

I have been doing some design work on this and before I get to far into it I need to make sure I can get the brass for the crankcase.
Does anyone have about 4 inches of 2.5 OD brass tube with a wall of at least 1/16 Inch they would like to sell?
I can find lots of 2 inch tube and I would hate to start with 2.5 solid.
    Just looked and nothing here

    Hi David,
I believe has the size you're looking for.
I'm planning to order some stuff from them in the next few days. If you're interested I can order it for you and save yourself the shipping and handling.
asapsource also carries it in 330 with a .125 wall. Kinda spendy at 5 something an inch though. I will be interested in the build as always. Best of luck with it.

    John and Kamran
The asap source tube by the inch is the most reasonable price I have seen and It does not need to be bored out much.
    Thanks David
