I have not done any "clean up" of the engine or parts as this is my first engine and I want to get it running first. I have made all the parts for this engine except the screws. Right now I am looking for some corian to make the spark plug insulator and points block insulator. I'm building using SIC back issues. The engine is the Upshur vertical 4 stroke. I'll send some more pics after the engine is running and cleaned up.

have an Upshur Vertical that is on the work in progress page. It was
my first engine and first machining project so it has a lot of flaws.
Almost wore the screws out disassembling and then reassembling the
engine! All was forgotten as the engine came to life and sat running
on the workbench.
I'll send some more pics after the engine is running and cleaned up.
