This is my Little Angel engine, from plans by Bob Shore . The engine stand was originally part of a “Western Electric” wall phone from the 1920’s, and is solid oak.

I bought an Emco Maximat V10-P lathe/mill/drill combo to help fabricate auto parts, as a hobby. I soon learned there was way more to machining and metallurgy than I imagined. As a learning tool, I asked for the Little Angel plans for my birthday. Over the last year, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge by building this little engine. What’s more, I’ve learned about the importance of stationary engines from a historical perspective.
