1 Cylinder, 4 cycle, Hit and Miss, 1/2 bore X 1/2 stroke, First run in January 1994
Little
Angel. Originally, I built a 1/2 scale
Witte headless engine from a casting kit that turned out to be a nice
engine, easy starting and reliable. I scaled it down to about half size
and built one from bar stock that also turned out nice. Scaling down
again, I built the Little Angel and exhibited it at Zolfo Springs. Many
request for the drawings resulted in a “Drawing package” to offset
expense. The first “drawing package” was sold to Brian McCartin in
January 1994. A very large number of these little engines have been built,
worldwide. One was built on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf and
Alex Neilson built 7 Little Angels, one for each grandchild. A very
popular engine. During the past 8 years, the original engine has required
no maintenance and has acquired more than 600 hours of running time.
