Having enough hit or miss engines I thought it time to
try something else, thus this sterling engine filled the bill... The design is
from Jan Riddle of the Netherlands. The only change I made was the brass
cylinder for the power piston. The
original design calls for this cylinder to be made of a glass test tube.
I tried four different test tubes and found that none of them were
internally cylindrical enough to afford a good fit for the power piston. The
glass test tubes make this an interesting design and is a very nice runner....
