Mini Horizontal Oscillator

A member of my metal working club (Metro Detroit) gave me a set of drawings from an old steam engine kit that he said came with castings. I am trying to locate a set of castings or at least get some background info or history on the engine. I was bored so I drew up the drawings in 3D cad only I cut everything in half. Then I was bored and actually built the tiny thing. If anybody knows anything about this engine, please drop me a note via email. Help me out guys!! What is this and who made the kit.

This is a half scale ? engine. It has a 1/8 bore and stroke. The crankshaft is 1/16 with a 1/32 throw. The flywheel is 1/2 X 1/4. I'm thinking about taking it apart and polishing everything but I'm afraid I'll shoot something across the room and loose it
