4-Cylinder, In-Line (1930’s English Aero Engine.)
bore:27mm stroke:32mm compression ratio:8.25(with 0.3mm gasket) displacement 73cc Carburetor is made from the drawings of "two jet carburetor" in SIC Issue 69 by Jerry E. Howell.
The drawings of this engine can be found in SIC Issue: # 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 & 36.
I made it according to the articles by Ron Colonna.
It takes about 1 year and 10 months for me to make it.
I had many troubles in making of previous engines, this engine ran from the beginning.
I had tiny troubles like oil coming into combustion chamber and ignition advancement.
Former trouble has already solved by making oil rings suggested by Mr.Ron Colonna.
For the latter, I'm now trying the electrical advancement circuit.
