Vertical Steam Engine        

Here is a picture of a steam engine I built in1996, the kit was a Christmas present from my wife and son, 1995.  it is a pm research kit, copy of full size original by Chas. a. Strelinger co. of Detroit, mi. 1885 model, rated 1/4 hp, 19inch high, 1 1/2 inch bore/ 2 1/2 inch stroke. this is pm research add. at the time I built it I only had a 9" swing lathe, and had problems, finally had to go to my son's machine shop to finish it. runs good on compressed air.        (6/18/2002)
